Who We Are >
Accreditations
At Foundation Care, it is important that we keep up-to-date on all of the newest products, services, and regulations in the pharmacy world. In order to ensure that our pharmacy is meeting the highest quality and safety standards in the industry, Foundation Care underwent several accreditation processes.
Accreditations:
Compounding Accreditation Awarded: 2009
- Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB)
Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB) accreditation affords compounding pharmacists an unparalleled opportunity to demonstrate superior quality and safety in their compounding practices. And yet, since PCAB was founded in 2004, only a modest number of pharmacies across the nation have achieved accreditation. Foundation Care was the first in Missouri to earn this!
DMEPOS Accreditation Awarded: 2009
- Healthcare Quality Association on Accreditation (HQAA)
Although there are other accreditation options available for the durable medical equipment industry, HQAA is designed specifically for HME providers. At HQAA, we know the dedication and commitment you have for your patients and your business. That is why an accreditation program that is designed for you will have the most positive impact on your business in the most efficient way.
Drug Distribution Accreditation Awarded: 2009
- Verified Accreditation of Wholesale Distributors (VAWD)
The Verified-Accredited Wholesale Distributors (VAWD) program provides assurance that the wholesale distribution facility operates legitimately, is validly licensed in good standing, and is employing security and best practices for safely distributing prescription drugs from manufacturers to pharmacies and other institutions. Applicants for VAWD accreditation undergo a criteria compliance review, licensure verification, a survey, background checks, and screening through the NABP Clearinghouse.
Internet Advertising Approval Awarded: 2010
- e-Advertiser Approval Program
The NABP e-Advertiser Approval Program targets Internet advertisers that offer only limited pharmacy services or other prescription drug-related services online. Because the VIPPS accreditation program is structured to address licensed pharmacies engaged in a full range of defined pharmacy practice activities online, NABP has developed the e-Advertiser Approval Program to complement it. The NABP e-Advertiser Approval Program identifies and assesses Internet advertisers that offer only limited pharmacy services or other prescription drug-related services online.
Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation Awarded: 2010
- Accreditation Commission for Healthcare (ACHC)
ACHC is the only national health care accrediting organization started at the grass-roots level by a few home care providers endeavoring to create a viable option of accreditation sensitive to the needs of small providers. The model was to “ensure a voice for providers.”
