COLISTIMETHATE (COLY-MYCIN, COLISTIN)

Cystic Fibrosis. We can provide you with everything you need to safely
and accurately prepare your Colistimethate dosage at home.

If you allow us, we can take away the hassle of preparing your Colistimethate prescription. Our pharmacists will do the work for you, preparing the medication in easy to use unit dose neb vials. As the physician, you decide the concentration and volume of each dose to be prepared for your patients. Foundation care will customize your patient’s medication by preparing the Colistimethate to your specification.

Dosage Forms Commonly Used in the Treatment of Cystic Fibrosis
- 150mg dose BID for inhalation with a traditional nebulizer (ie PARI LC Plus)
- 75mg dose BID for inhalation with an eFlow® SCF nebulizer. For Colistin study, click here.
Patients receiving chronic antibiotic therapy of Colistimethate may qualify to receive FREE
SourceCF Multivitamins (Softgels, Chewables, and Pediatric Drops) with each prescription.
Patients receiving chronic antibiotic therapy of Colisitmethate and Hypertonic Saline from
Foundation Care may qualify for our FREE Hypertonic Saline program.
Unit dose Colistimethate should be stored under refrigeration and is good for up to 60 days.
Each dose should be inspected prior to administration.
