As a member of the Respiratory Disease Network, Foundation Care is one of the exclusive distributors of the Trio™ electronic nebulizer.

The FDA has cleared the Trio™ for use "with patients for whom doctors have prescribed medication for nebulization. The Trio™ is intended for adult and pediatric patients." For the medications you should use with the Trio™, please consult your physician.

The Trio™ is a highly efficient electronic nebulizer that delivers extremely fast treatments due to its high output rate. Silent, small and lightweight, the eFlow introduces a novel technology platform for liquid aerosol generation utilizing a vibrating membrane technique.

In contrast to ultrasonic and jet nebulizers, aerosol droplets can be generated with a low shear stress allowing nebulization of sensitive drug products such as proteins, peptides, etc. and its efficiency makes it ideal for expensive drug formulations.

The Trio™ technology platform combines two key nebulization principles to significantly reduce nebulization times: a high percentage of the deliverable dose within the respirable range and a high flow rate.

The Trio™ offers potential benefits to Cystic Fibrosis patients by reducing treatment times, the dosage of some medications, and potential drug costs. In our experience the Trio™ has been a significant tool in improving patient compliance and persistency with their treatment.

Cleaning Your Trio Electronic Nebulizer

Foundation Care has created a nebulizer cleaning kit and instructional videos for the Trio Electronic Nebulizer. The cleaning kit and videos were developed with feedback from patients, physicians and our staff. Our pharmacists and patient care coordinators have a number of years of experience troubleshooting nebulizers and determining what method of cleaning works best for each patient.
